Thank you to Subdevision, and my coworker at the Department of Collective Trauma Emily Pearlman, and our two faithful interns, for a very rewarding experience. As a result of jury deliberations, and thanks to an embattled applicant whose sister announced she was pregnant on the day she finished her PHD, the department has chosen to elevate Stolen Thunder Day, to the calendar this year.

There's no posted schedule. Only a bill with the titles of 13 original
site-specific works. Each 10–20 minute piece has been created with a
particular space in mind, be that an artist's studio, the corridor, a
metal shop, under the stairs, in a parking spot...

Start at the
bar and you're welcome to explore the building at will. Dive in without
caution or hang back at the bar to hear what—and where—is good.

super talented, local women artists. Broad Spectrum includes works in a
variety of media exploring imaginary worlds, dreams and nightmares,
liminal spaces between life and death, hard edges and organic twists,
funny, satirical little worlds, and super sly pop sensibilities.
